The CableJoG Mother board is a convenient way of connecting many non ribbon cable connectors to the CableJoG range of testers.
The motherboard consists of a standard 64 way IDC header at each end which are used to connect the motherboard to the tester and maybe to another motherboard. Of the 64 test pins 62 are connected to 15 sets of 25 & 37 way 'd' type connectors. The 'd' type connectors are wired in parallel. If not all 15 slots are required the the PCB can be cut say in two giving two motherboards one with 7 slots and the other with 8. Each slot has a pair of mounting holes for fixing the mother board in a cabinet etc. We have two recommendations. Firstly if the board is to be cut then this should be done before the 'd' types are fitted. Secondly that 1 cm spacers are used when fixing the motherboard to a cabinet, this means the ribbon cable can go underneath the motherboard and not get in the way of the 'd' types.
